Parlami — Speak to Me — is the Taurasi DOCG Reserve of the Petra Marzia estate, and in the name lies the wine's entire philosophy: a wine that asks only to be heard, that has something of genuine substance to say, that rewards the attention it invites. Taurasi is one of Italy's most prestigious red wine designations — a DOCG of the Campania region built entirely on the Aglianico grape, and one of the great southern Italian reds whose capacity for longevity and development rivals the finest wines of the north.

The production of Parlami follows the requirements of the Taurasi DOCG Reserve designation: three years of ageing, of which one in oak barrels, before release. This is a wine made in the long tradition of southern Italian red wine patience — the understanding that Aglianico is a grape of firm tannins and high acidity that requires time to reveal its full potential, and that shortcuts in ageing produce a wine of raw power rather than refined substance.

The wine presents with a red colour of garnet with orange reflections that already signal the development that the extended ageing has achieved — the colour shift toward garnet and orange is one of the visual markers of a wine that has begun its long journey toward full maturity. The nose offers an intense bouquet of marasca cherry and violet flower, with hints of spices and underbrush that add complexity and suggest the further development that patient cellaring will continue to produce.

On the palate, Parlami is full-bodied, with the slight tannic flavour that Aglianico's firm tannin structure characteristically delivers even after ageing — a quality that is not a flaw but a statement of the grape's authentic character and its capacity to evolve further. It is suitable for large dishes of roast meat, spicy cheese, and cold cuts — the preparations of a serious Campanian table.
