Paiolana is the Malvasia white of Cantine Lulli — the most immediately accessible and broadly inviting white in the estate's range, produced from a variety whose long association with the hills of Lazio and the tables of Rome makes it one of the most historically embedded grapes in the region's viticultural identity. Where the Bellone carries the weight of ancient Roman specificity, and the Cervignara brings the ambition of extended oak ageing, Paiolana is the wine of immediate pleasure and genuine everyday quality.

The wine presents with a very light yellow colour with a corolla tending toward white — the palest and most delicate colour in the estate's white wine range, signalling the youth, freshness, and gentle character that Malvasia in this light style achieves. A direct floral nose is the first aromatic impression: marked by wild daisies, Malvasia offers a sweet and soothing aroma with gentle spices that remain on the nose as the flowers fade — a progression of quiet aromatic charm that is entirely appropriate to the variety's character.

The Lazio Malvasia — distinct in character from the Malvasia Bianca of Sardinia or the Malvasia di Candia of Emilia — has a particular lightness and a sweet, direct floral personality that makes it one of the most immediately enjoyable whites in the region.
