Thesauri is the second rosé of Cantina Tagliafierro — and where Tramelios speaks of structured grace and mineral complexity, Thesauri speaks of elegance, subtlety, and the particular beauty of the Amalfi Coast in its most refined and lyrical register. The name comes from the Latin for guarded treasure: a wine that holds within it something precious and carefully preserved, something that reveals itself gradually rather than announcing itself immediately.
Produced from the native varieties of Tramonti — Piedirosso and Tintore in the characteristic combination of this coastal mountain territory — Thesauri is the rosé expression of the estate's red wine tradition: an elegant, subtle translation of the power and character that these varieties develop on the volcanic dry-stone terraces into a pink wine of genuine distinction. The mineral fragrance, the harmony of body and lightness, the shade of passion, and the Mediterranean whisper that the estate uses to describe this wine are not mere poetry but accurate observations.
In the glass, the wine presents with an identity-marking colour — a lovely peach-rose hue of genuine prettiness that draws the eye before the nose is engaged. The aroma reveals itself in layers: immediate notes of strawberry, pomegranate, and cherry announce the fruited personality of the native Tramonti varieties, followed by delicate hints of white mulberry and red-berry jelly that add a more fragile and refined aromatic dimension.
On the palate, the wine demonstrates the pleasant freshness and appealing savouriness that characterise the best expressions of the Tramonti terroir at altitude — qualities that give it lift and extend the flavour well beyond the first impression. The persistence is good; the drinkability is excellent. Thesauri enriches and lends lift to dishes of rich cheeses and fish with the same ease that it serves as a standalone aperitif of quiet beauty.
