There are vineyards, and then there are vineyards that belong to the earth in a way that defies simple description. The terraced slopes of Lavic Plenty of Etna fall firmly into the second category. Suspended between the ancient violence of Etna and the perpetual grace of the Ionian Sea, these are vines that do not merely grow — they endure, as they have endured for centuries, on hand-built lava stone terraces at altitudes between 530 and over 700 metres above sea level.
